How to fix “Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped”?

You may have tried many ways to deal with the continually popping up message “Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped”, but to no avail. So here, we gather nearly all of the possible methods, just read on to find an appropriate one to fix this issue. 


Method 1: Restart your device


Method 2: Reinstall Google Play, and upgrade it to the latest version

1. Tap on Settings > Select Security > Device administrators > Deactivate Android Device Manager

2. Tap on Settings > Application Manager > All > Google Play services > Uninstall Updates

3. Updates will be performed if your apps require the latest version

4. Tap on Settings > Select Security > Device administrators > ACTIVATE Android Device Manager

5. Restart your device

Method 3: Clear the Google Play Services cache& Google Services Framework cache

1. Tap on Settings > Application Manager > All > Google Play Store > clear cache & uninstall updates

2. Tap on Settings > Application Manager > All > Google Services Framework > click "Force stop" & tap on the "Clear cache" button

3. Restart your device

Method 4: Remove and re-add your Google account

1. Tap on Settings > Accounts > Google > Select your email ID > Remove account

2.Go back to the Accounts menu to re-add your Google account

3. Restart your device

Method 5: Reset application preference

1. Tap on Settings > Application Manager > All > Menu > Reset App Preferences

2. Restart your device

Method 6: Factory Reset your Phone

1. Tap on Settings> Backup and Reset> Backup your data if necessary> Factory data Reset> Reset phone

Method 7: If you are using Custom ROM, try to download latest Build and reflash it with latest GApps Package
