Solve the Issue of "Unfortunately the Has Stopped"

It is so annoy to find “Unfortunately the Has Stopped” on the phone.

Part 1. Why is “Unfortunately the Has Stopped” Happens?

In general, “ has stopped” happens to you because of phone or SIM toolkit application. If you got this error text on your phone, you can consider the reasons below:
• You might recently installed new ROM
• You have made major modifications to data
• You have restored data recently 
• Your firmware update unsuccessfully
• You have upgraded to the latest version of Android software

Part 2. Do Backup to Your Android Data before Fixing the Error

If “Unfortunately the Has Stopped” issue happens, the first thing is to ensure your data to be safe. Luckily, you can use Android Data Backup & Restore option in the Android Data Recovery toolkit to help you easily backup and recover all of your precious files.
The files include your photos, calendar, call history, SMS messages, contacts, audio files, applications and even your application data (for rooted devices).

1. Initial Steps
Connect your Android phone to PC via USB cable. the dr.fone toolkit for Android and then select the Data Backup & Restore option from main interface. If your Android OS version is 4.2.2 or above, you will get a window which asks you to allow USB Debugging – simply press ‘OK.’

2.Choose What Type of Data to back up
After finishing the connection, click the “Backup” icon to move to next interface. And then you will be asked to select files types to backup(all the file types are selected well by default). Click the “ Backup” icon again, it will take a few whiles to finish. Once completed, you can view the backup button to see what is in the file.


Part 3. How to Solve "Unfortunately the Has Stopped"

Now that you have successfully backed up your important data. It is time to solve the “ has stopped” issue. You will learn 3 good solutions from below.

Solution 1. Clear Cache on Your Android 
If your Android is 4.2 or above, this solution will work for you (on older versions you might have to clear the cache on each app individually).
1. Go to Settings and select Storage

2. Choose “Cached Data” – select this option and a pop up will appear, confirming that you want to clear the cache. Select “OK” and the problem should be solved!

Solution 2: Clear Cache and Data to Phone’s Apps
Here is another great method that should work for this problem.
1. Go to Settings> All Apps
2. Scroll down and select ‘Phone’
3. Select this, and then tap "Clear Cache"
4. If this doesn’t work, repeat the process but also include "Clear Data"
Restart your device and the problem should be solved.

Solution 3: Do Factory or ‘Hard’ Reset

If the above solutions don’t work, you might need to complete a factory reset. If this is the case, it is more important than ever than you ensure that your data is properly backed up with the Android Data Recovery.
